Please read the following instructions thoroughly before contacting us.

The best way to contact us regarding a potential project is via e-mail at query@dsmagency.com.  We no longer accept unsolicited query letters through the regular mail.  Be sure to read our home page very carefully to find out about the types of books we are interested in representing before you send a query. Please note that the list of the types of projects that we ARE interested in representing is followed by a list of the types of projects that we are NOT interested in representing. If your project falls into any of the categories that we are not interested in, research other agents and query those that are interested in the genre in which you have written.

Please only e-mail us a synopsis of your project in one page or less, and include a short paragraph that details your credentials.  Do not send attachments or URL links.  All queries should be directed to the attention of the Doris S. Michaels Literary Agency, Inc.  Please do not send more than one query. Each query that comes in is carefully considered. You will receive a response from us if we are interested in seeing more material, or if we are interested in offering representation. If you do not hear from us within two weeks, please assume that we have decided that your project is simply not right for our agency.
