Internships

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The internship entails a great deal of reading and evaluating query letters, proposals, and manuscripts.  Sometimes line editing for typos and grammatical errors and sometimes editing for content.  You can get more out of the internship depending on how much time you commit.  You can become heavily involved with the submissions process by learning how to do everything from writing the submissions letters to preparing and sending out the packages.  There is also a lot of general office work involved including filing, copying, faxing, answering the phone, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

In order to qualify for the internship, you must be

-- a high school graduate
-- 20 years of age or over
-- currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or you must already possess a degree from an accredited college or university
-- able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours a week
-- an avid reader and skilled writer
-- computer literate

You must also enjoy reading the types of projects we represent.  Please read our home page to find out if your interests match ours.

Important: The internship is not a paid position.  However, if you are enrolled in an accredited college or university, you may be eligible to receive credits towards your degree.
